MODEM.ZIP v0.01 (not good enough for a 1.00 ya know)

Eric J. Givler
Credits to Jack M. Wierda and Steve Freeman for some protocol code for
xmodem checksum I found years ago.
Well, here it is! People were complaining about protocols and I tried
writing them a few years back. The code is not very clean as these
were the FIRST (and I mean FIRST) programs I ever tried to write in
pascal.
We (you and I) definitely have some work ahead of us to get this stuff
to be more 'user friendly'. NOTE: I only wrote more SEND routines
because when I was writing my BBS, users only cared that downloads
worked! <grin> Anyone interested in helping complete the Receive
functions, can contact me at the address below.
The code is NOT being released into the Public Domain. You may use
the code FREELY, just give credit. The code will continue to be
updated based on outlines discussed below and will always be released
in FULL SOURCE FORM for FREE.
If modifications or enhancements are made, I would like to see them.
Please send them in the form of actual PASCAL source to the address
listed below. As long as I see some form of suggestions for
enhancements in the Fidonet pascal echo or via snail-mail (US Post
office), I will continue to support these functions and make changes
as necessary.
I want to make it clear that I am not a Pascal 'guru' by any means.
I like to play around. If you think things can be implemented
better, I'd like to know how, and PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE, supply the
code. I'd like to learn something too!
I'm sure you'll learn from reading the code how some of the
protocols actually work.
Enough said....
If you have any comments, I'm at: 1:270/101.15

I'll post my new address and voice number in the Fido Pascal echo
after I move in a few weeks. If you want to send any form of monetary
contribution, I won't refuse it. A suggested contribution is $5. Maybe
I'll be able to afford the TP 7.0 upgrade! Have fun.
